Pokemon:the Next Generation
      Chapter 7

Pewter City was called the "Stone Grey City". Probably because the gym
leader there used rock Pokemon.
"Don't worry guys," said Ollie. "I've been here a million times. My uncle
is the gym leader here, and we visit him a lot."
"Do you think he could help us out?" asked Jackie.
"Sure. He'll tell Team Rocket to give us our Pokemon back. He's really
nice."
The group walked to the gym and went inside.
They heard a voice. "Charmander, finish it off!"
 "It's Gary!" exclaimed Flint.
Ollie's uncle walked over to Gary. "You have earned the Boulderbadge.
Here."
Gary took it. "Alright! I'm number one!" He looked over to where Flint
was. "Hey, losers! I just got a Boulderbadge! Bet you can't get one. Or
maybe Ollie can because his uncle is the gym leader."
Ollie glared at him. "Why don't you leave?"
Gary saw that everyone was looking at him, and they all looked angry.
"You want me to take that badge from you, son?" threatened Ollie's uncle.

"What? Uh, no. I'm outta here," Gary said as he ran out the door.
 "What a dork," said Jackie.
 "Yeah," agreed Flint.
"Ollie, you're here!" said Ollie's uncle as they hugged. "Haven't seen you
in a while."
"Hi, Uncle Joe," said Ollie. "These are my friends Flint and Jackie."
 "Hi, kids."
"Uncle Joe," started Ollie, " We sort of have a problem."
Ollie told Joe what happened, then Joe said, "Sure, I'll help you out. Now
this is what we're gonna do..."
Joe told them his plan and they all headed towards the Pokemon Center
which is where they were supposed to meet Team Rocket. They saw Team Rocket
hiding and Joe hid behind a nearby corner.
When Team Rocket saw them Jessie (the second) said, "Good. You're here.
Now we'll tell you what we want."
"Aren't you gonna give us our Pokemon back?" Flint asked.
"Yeah sure," James Jr. said. "But not this instant. First, we'll tell you
what we want. We want a certain Pokemon. We think his name is Muru. It
looks sort of like a bear mixed with a rabbit."
Flint, Ollie, and Jackie's eyes all widened. "You've seen Muru too?" they
said.
"Yeah," said Bob. "You've seen it?"
"No, Bob," James said sarcastically. "They just asked if we've seen it too
for the heck of it."
"Shut up, you too," Jessie said. "Get us that Pokemon and we'll give you
yours back."
"What?!" Jackie yelled. "You said you'd give them back to us after you
told us what you want!"
 "Well, we lied."
"Okay then," said Flint folding his arms, "how are we supposed to get Muru
if all we have is Psyduck?"
"You can figure that out," laughed James.
"No, I don't think so," Ollie said. "You see, I have an uncle, and he
doesn't agree with you."
All of a sudden, a huge shadow came over the group. Team Rocket looked up.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" they yelled. "It's an Onix! Here, here take your
lousy Pokemon! We're getting out of here!" and they ran off.
Joe called Onix back and came from around the corner.
 "Thanks, Uncle Joe," said Ollie.
Flint spoke up, "Now, Joe. I want a battle."
They all went inside the gym.
"Ollie, don't you want to battle and get a badge?" Flint asked.
 "It's not legal," Ollie replied. "I can't battle a gym leader that's a
relative and get a badge."
"Well, then how can you get into Pokemon League?"
"On my license it states if I'm a gym leader's relative, so I only have to
get nine badges."
 "What about you, Jackie?"
"I'm not going to get badges. I just want to become the best fire Pokemon
trainer in the world."
"Okay," Flint turned to Joe. "Let's get this show on the road."
"Right. We will each choose two Pokemon."
 "Alright."
"I can't believe I'm calling it out, but..." Flint threw his Pokeball.
"Rattata, I choose you!" Rattata came out.
I just hope it doesn't get squashed or something, Flint thought.
"Rattata, huh? Okay, Geodude, go!" Joe threw his Pokeball.
 "Rattata, tackle attack!"
Rattata charged towards Geodude and hit it with it's head. Rattata walked
around wobbly and then fell down.
"Whoops," Flint said. "That's gotta hurt. Rattata, you okay?"
Rattata got back up, a little woozy at first but then came back to normal.
"Geodude, now you tackle it!" yelled Joe.
 "Look out, Rattata!" Flint yelled.
Rattata dove out of the way just in time. At least I have speed on my
side, Flint thought.
 "Rattata, quick attack!"
Rattata bolted back and forth and around Geodude.
 "Geodude, rock throw!"
Rattata was circling Geodude quickly and Geodude was turning around and
around trying to get a clear shot at Rattata, but it got confused.
"Okay, hit it now, Rattata!" Flint yelled.
Rattata instantly came behind Geodude and hit it, knocking it down.
"Geodude, now hit it with those rocks!" yelled Joe.
Geodude hurled the rocks towards Rattata.
 "Rattata, Tail Whip!"
Rattata hit the rocks with its tail and they came coming right back at
Geodude and knocked it out.
 "Geodude, return! Go, Rhyhorn!"
Flint analyzed Rhyhorn with his Pokedex and then he called out Psyduck.
"Psy-psy-duck," it said as it came out of its Pokeball.
 "Psyduck, Disable!" Flint yelled.
 Psyduck looked at Flint, confused.
"Huh?" Flint said. "Psyduck, why aren't you attacking Rhyhorn?"
"Psyduck's head needs to hurt before it can use its good attacks," Ollie
explained.
"Oh. Okay, Rhyhorn can do whatever it wants to Psyduck now as long as it
hurts Psyduck's head."
 "Rhyhorn, Stomp!" Joe yelled.
Rhyhorn marched up to Psyduck and stomped on its head. When Psyduck got up
it started running around in circles, screaming.
"Okay, Psyduck, now Disable!" exclaimed Flint.
Psyduck stopped screaming and stood still. Rhyhorn started to charge
towards it. Psyduck closed its eyes. Rhyhorn still charged. Psyduck began
to glow. Rhyhorn charged. Rhyhorn was about to attack Psyduck when it
launched its attack at Rhyhorn. All of a sudden, Rhyhorn stopped.
"Rhyhorn? Attack it!" Joe said confused.
 Rhyhorn groaned. It couldn't move.
 "Alright!" Flint said. "Psyduck, Confusion!"
Psyduck launched Confusion at Rhyhorn and it started to slip and slide
back and forth still not changing its position.
Joe sighed. "Rhyhorn, return!" Joe walked up to Flint and showed him a
badge. "I award you with this Thunderbadge."
Flint held it up and exclaimed, "Yeah! I got the Thunderbadge! Great job,
Psyduck!" He called it back.
Later, they all went outside to say goodbye to Joe.
"Well, Uncle Joe. I guess I'll see you later," Ollie said as he and his
uncle hugged.
"I guess so. See ya, Flint and Jackie," he said as he shook their hands.
"Goodbye, Joe. Thanks," said Flint as they all walked off.
 And they left Pewter City.
