As our heroes (and heroines) continue their journey, they end up in a
forest, heading in the direction of... the direction of...
"So, where are we going, Ollie?" Flint asked.
Ollie looked at his map. "Um...Well...," he flipped the map around and
around trying to figure out which way was right side up.
"Oh, great!" Jackie said. "We're lost aren't we?"
"Well, we're not lost, persay. I just don't know where we are."
"Pikachu?" Pikachu asked. (What's the difference?)
"This is a great way to start my journey," Shari mumbled. "I knew we
shouldn't have taken that short cut you suggested Flint!"
"Are you saying this is my fault?!" Flint yelled.
"Ding ding ding! You are smart!" Shari said sarcasically. "Give the kid a
prize!"
"Guys!" Ollie said trying to break up the fight. "Arguing won't get us
anywhere! All's we have to do is retrace our steps and head back to where
we took the shortcut. We just have to go this... way."
"Which way is this way, Ollie?" Jackie asked. "We're lost and you know
it!"
"We're not lost! We're... okay we're lost. So? We'll find our way."
"Yeah right," Flint muttered. He took the map and pointed. Pikachu jumped
on his head to get a better look. "This is where we are."
"Pika-Pi Pikachu," Pikachu disagreed. (That's Viridian Forest.)
"So where's the next city anyway?" Shari asked.
"Vermillion," Ollie replied. Then he found something on the map. "Hey
look! We just need to go through that underground path, and we can get to
Vermillion!"
"That's great, Ollie," Flint said. "But the question is, where is it?"
Everybody pointed in a different direction. "I think it's that way!"
"Perfect," Jackie said. "We don't even know where the stupid underground
path is."
While they were arguing which direction to go, Team Rocket was watching
them with binoculars in a tree.
"There's the little brats," Jessie said.
"Let's capture all of their Pokemon," said James smiling.
"Duh," Bob said sarcastically. "That's what we came here to do in the
first place."
James raised his fist and knocked Bob off the tree. Then Jesse and James
climbed down the tree and jumped in front of Flint, Ollie, Jackie, and
Shari.
They looked over, and Flint asked, "What are you guys doing here?"
"Prepare for trouble!" Jesse exclaimed.
"And make it double!" James said.
"Okay, okay, we've heard all this crap before," Jackie said annoyed. "Now
what do you want?"
"How dare you interrupt our motto!" Jesse yelled, steamed.
Bob hopped out of the bushes. "And if you must know, we're here to get
your Pokemon."
"Who are these guys?" Shari asked, obviously not impressed.
"We're part of the infamous Team Rocket!" James said proudly.
"Stop bugging us," Ollie muttered. "We're not gonna give you our Pokemon."
"Then we'll battle!" Jesse said. She threw her Pokeball. "Nidoran Female,
go!"
A red beam came through her Pokeball and Nidoran Female popped out.
"Nidoran Male, go!" James yelled as he threw his Pokeball and Nidoran Male
came out.
Bob exclaimed, "Venonat, come out!"
And of course Venonat popped out of the Pokeball.
Flint laughed. "That's all you got? Ha! You don't stand a chance against
all of us!"
"Yeah," Shari agreed.
"We have," Ollie looked at his fingers and counted in his head. "Well, we
have a lot of Pokemon!"
"But," Jesse started. "You can't use all of your Pokemon against us."
"Yeah," James said. "Pokemon League rules say so."
"Since when does Team Rocket obey the rules?" Jackie asked.
"Well, she does have a point," Bob said to the others.
"Anyway, we won't need all of our Pokemon against you either!" Flint said.
"We'll go by the rules since we're the good guys. But just this once!"
Ollie threw one of his Pokeballs. "Tommy, go!" A red flash of light came
out of the Pokeball, and Ollie's Pikachu came out.
"Clefairy, I choose you!" Flint yelled as he threw his Pokeball and
Clefairy came out.
"Go, Vulcan!" Jackie exclaimed and Jackie's Pikachu came out of the
Pokeball.
"Well, I guess I'll sit this one out, since we're gonna play by the
rules," Shari said.
Clefairy took on Nidoran Female, Tommy went for Nidoran Male, and Vulcan
fought Venonat.
"Clefairy, pound!" Flint yelled. Clefairy ran towards Nidoran Male, and
bashed him on the head. Nidoran stood their dazed and fell down.
"Get up Nidoran!" Jesse yelled. "We have to get their Pokemon!"
Nidoran got up and shook it off.
While this was going on, Ollie yelled, "Tommy, thundershock!"
Tommy charged over to Nidoran Male, and electrocuted it. Nidoran fell
down.
"Oh, come on!" James whined. "It can't be over already! Nidoran, return."
Meanwhile, Vulcan and Venonat were having their own fight. "Vulcan, quick
attack!"
Vulcan charged around Venonat, but Venonat dodged.
"Venonat, stun spore!" Bob yelled. Venonat waved dust at Vulcan, but
Vulcan dodged out of the way.
"Vulcan, swift attack!" Jackie yelled. Vulcan caught Venonat off guard and
ran right into it, knocking it down. "Okay, Vulcan! Thundershock!" Vulcan
electrocuted Venonat.
"Crap!" Bob yelled. "Venonat, return!" Venonat went back inside the
Pokeball.
Clefairy and Nidoran Female were still fighting. "Nidoran, tackle attack!"
Jesse yelled. Nidoran charged towards Clefairy, but Clefairy jumped up.
"Clefairy, skull bash!" Flint yelled. Clefairy came down and knocked
Nidoran down, making it faint.
"Grr...Nidoran return!" Jesse said, angry. A red beam of light came out of
Jesse's Pokeball and Nidoran was sucked inside.
"Hey, Jesse," James started. "Let's just take their Pokemon away from
them. We're bigger than they are."
"Yeah!" Jesse replied.
"Good idea!" Bob said.
They walked towards the group, but all of a sudden, they heard, "Staryu,
water gun!"
A big beam of water hit Team Rocket, knocking them out of sight.
Flint, Ollie, Jackie and Pikachu looked back and saw Staryu standing next
to Shari. "Staryu, return!" she said as Staryu went back inside its
Pokeball. "Well, I guess I don't have to miss this battle."
"Thanks, Shari," Jackie said.
Ollie agreed. "Yeah, thanks."
"What do you say, Flint?" Jackie asked.
"Well...you're okay, Shari," Flint admitted.
"Yeah, I know," Shari joked.
"Pika-Pika," Pikachu said. (Thank you, Shari.)
They walked along for a while, when suddenly a Pokemon jumped out of the
bushes. It was Muru.
"M-Muru," it said.
They all stopped. "It's him," Flint whispered. "Don't move."
"What is-" Jackie started to say, but Flint cut her off.
"Ssshh," he whispered. "This time I'm not gonna fail. All of my Pokemon,
attack!"
He threw all of his Pokeballs with Pokemon in them and Pikachu jumped off
his shoulder and ran towards Muru.
"Do every attack you know!" Flint ordered.
Pikachu started off with doing a thundershock, but suddenly Muru turned to
stone. Pikachu tilted its head. "Pikachu, Pika?" (What the?)
All of their eyes widened. Flint said, "How-it turned into a rock!"
Then the rock turned back into Muru.
"Clefairy, pound!" Flint ordered. Clefairy ran towards Muru, but all of a
sudden, Muru turned into a fighting Pokemon and blocked Clefairy's attack!
Then it punched Clefairy, and knocked it into Psyduck! Then all of a
sudden, it turned back into Muru.
"It's using powers to block every attack!" Ollie exclaimed.
"You think?" Jackie said sarcasically.
"Psyduck, hit your head against something and then use confusion!"
Psyduck found a rock and reluctantly hit its head against it. Then it
closed its eyes and launched confusion at Muru. But then Muru turned into a
ghost Pokemon and licked Psyduck, paralyzing it!
"Psyduck, Clefairy, return!" Flint said as a red beam of light came out of
his Pokeballs and sucked Psyduck and Clefairy back in. "Zubat, supersonic!"
Zubat screeched in Muru's direction, trying to confuse it, but Muru put on
ear plugs and started laughing.
"You think that's funny?!" Flint yelled.
Ollie, Jackie, and Shari started to laugh a little too, but Flint glared
at them. They immediately stopped. "A little help please!" Flint yelled.
"Okay, okay," Ollie said as he threw some of his Pokeballs. "Geodude,
Weedle, go!"
A red beam came out of the Pokeballs and Geodude and Weedle came out.
"Geodude, rock throw!"
Geodude started to throw rocks, but then Muru took out a baseball bat and
hit them right back at Geodude, knocking it unconsious. "Geodude!" Ollie
said, concerned. He sighed. "Return! Weedle poison sting!"
Weedle pointed its horn at Muru and lunged at it. But all of a sudden,
Muru started flying, grew a beak, and started to peck at Weedle.
"Weedle!" Ollie yelled. "Come back!"
He put out his Pokeball and a red beam of light came out, sucking Weedle
back in. Muru landed and turned back into his old self.
"Let me try my luck!" Jackie said. "Vulpix, go!"
Vulpix came out of its Pokeball and Jackie yelled, "Vulpix, fire spin!"
Vulpix blew fire at Muru and the fire surrounded him. Muru blew water out
of its mouth and spinned around with water getting all the fire. When the
fire disappeared, Muru blew water at Vulpix, knocking it out.
Jackie gasped. "Vulpix! Return!"
Then, suddenly, Muru disappeared. They looked around and Flint yelled,
"I'll get you Muru!" Then he looked at Ollie, Jackie, and Shari. "Next time
we'll use all our attacks at once."
"Man, and I was gonna try to get it, too," Shari muttered. "So what was
that anyway?"
"Well," Flint said, "that is the strongest Pokemon I have ever seen."
"It's mysterious too. Our Pokedex's can't even identify it," Ollie said.
They walked along, and finally found the underground path, and they knew
that's where they wanted to go. What they didn't know was that Muru was in
the trees, following them, and watching over them.
