Episode III- The Cascadebadge, Part II
by ROBOCT
Tony walked into the Poke Center. "Hey, I have a Blastoise that-"
He looked up. The place was empty. "Uh... hello?" He rung the bell on the
desk. No one answered. Tony looked around warily. This was definatly strange.
Tony thought aloud. "It isn't a holiday. Did they quit or something?" Tony
glanced over at the computer in the corner. It was still on... and it wasn't
running a Psyduck screen saver (common in all Poke Centers). "Has somebody,
or something been here?" Tony stifled a shudder, then let out a little
snicker. "Get a grip," he told himself, heading to the computer, "You're
over reacting. Just see if you can call the others and get out of here."
Tony started typing on the computer, but it wouldn't respond. All of a
sudden, a message started flashing on the computer:
TO PROTECT THE WORLD FROM DEVESTATION...
TO UNITE ALL THOSE WITHIN OUR NATION...
TO DENOUNCE THE EVILS OF TRUTH AND LOVE...
TO EXTEND OUR REACH TO THE STARS ABOVE...
The motto dissapeared, and a new message appeared on the screen:
I WOULDN'T TURN AROUND IF I WERE YOU
Tony grew angry. "Who's idea of a joke is this?!"
"Why, it's mine." a voice came from behind Tony.
Tony saw Jean-Luc's reflection on the computer's monitor. "You!"
Tony gasped. "How did you-"
"I've been following you the entire way," Jean-Luc sneered. "Team
Rocket knows all about what you and your buddies are doing. Why, I would
bet that as we speak Sarah is plotting some sort of sabotage against your
friend David. He might not get out of it alive. She's like that, you know.
I, on the other hand, am a person of simple demands. Hand over the Cascadebadge,
and you wont get hurt."
Tony pulled a Poke Ball from his belt. "I'll never let you take
the badge OR harm my friends! Let's go!" He spun around... and was met
with a battle fan to the face. The force knocked him to the ground, unconcious,
his glasses busted on the floor next to him.
"I thought I told you not to turn around." Jean-Luc said. "Oh
well, no bother. It's probably easier this way." Jean-Luc searched the
pockets of Tony's blazer until he found the badge. Jean-Luc looked down
at Tony, who let out a low moan. "Sweet dreams," he mocked, "'cause it's
gonna be a real nightmare when we control Encompass!"

"Nothing looks like it was stolen, but-"
"Hey! I think he's waking up." Tony opened his eyes. Everything
was blurry, but he saw two
policewomen kneeling over him. Tony squinted. They both looked the
same to him! "Are you okay, kid?" one asked.
"I think so," he replied. "Except for my glasses..." Then Tony
gasped as he remebered his confrontation with Jean-Luc. He quickly searched
his pockets. "Oh, no!" he wailed. "He took it!"
"Took what?" the other policewoman asked.
"There's no time to explain." he exclaimed, "Just say that if
I don't get my badge back, you two are going to have a rough job ahead
of you."
"What are you talking about?" the first policewoman demanded,
"Do you know anything about Encopmass?"
But Tony was already heading for the door, his head full of ideas.
He needed to get to Mt. Moon and wait. That was the only place he knew
where Jean-Luc was going. Once there, he would devise a strategy, a plan,
and get the badge back before the Moon Stone could be found. Yes, he thought
to himself as he opened the door and stepped through, I'll reclaim my prize.
But first. First- "Kid? You just walked into the closet"
First I need to go and get my extra pair of glasses back at the
lab.
