Ash Misty, and Brock Meet Austin and Coolma Part 2:
Showdown at Fuchsia Beach

 * When we last left our heroes, they had met some new friends.  Two brothers
named Austin and Coolma, but Team rocket interfered and now, they have to rush Killer
Jr. to the pokecenter at Fuchsia City.  (see part one)

"Hurry, we have to help Killer Jr. or he'll die!" Shouted Austin.
"We'll make it, don't worry." Ash said, as they ran down the path past the Safari
Zone and towards the pokecenter.
"Will he be okay?" asked Coolma.  "I don't want to loose him."
"We need to get help as soon as we can!" Yelled Brock.
The gang ran with Killer Jr. in Austin's arms.  They stampeded through the doors
of the pokecenter in Fuchsia City.  They ran to the desk and handed the injured sandslash
over to Chansey and Joy.
"Will he be okay?  "asked Austin.
"He'll be fine, you got him here just in time." Said nurse Joy.
"Thank goodness," said Austin in relief, "I was really worried about him.
Then they heard a squeaky voice coming from the video-phone, "RING RING
RING, RING RING RING, PHONE-CALL, PHONE-CALL!"  It was nurse Joy's video-
phone.
"Could you get that," nurse Joy called from the operation room, "I'm busy with
your sandslash right now."
Coolma ran and grabbed the phone, "I got it!"
"Coolma man, I've been trying to reach you dude!" a familiar voice said.
"Vann, my man, is that you?" Coolma shouted excitedly. "How's it going dude!"
"I know that voice," said Misty, "It's that Hippie we met.  The old one with all the
snorlax and the pokeflute."
"Whoa, Coolma man, I found something that belongs to you." said the Hippie.
 "Vann, you mean-"
"Yea, that snorlax that you lost turned up in the middle of my favorite napping
spot." Vann replied.  "I woke him up and sent him on his way your way, keep a lookout
for him."
"Thanks man," Coolma said, "I owe ya'."
The screen went fuzzy and blanked out as Coolma hung up.
"You've got a snorlax!!" Exclaimed Ash in shock.
"How'd you catch it?" asked Brock.
"His name is Sloth and I didn't exactly catch him, he followed me home when I
woke him up." said Coolma.
"That means that you have a pokeflute!" gasped Ash, "Why didn't you tell us?"
"I don't, I can wake them by whistling a certain way." said Coolma.
He gave a demonstration by putting his fingers to his lips and blowing hard.  A
shrill squeak sound blasted through the pokecenter followed by a whine of voices from
everyone inside, especially pokemon.  Pikachu, who had been sleeping in Ash's pack
jumped out and electrocuted Coolma as well as Ash, Austin, Brock, and Misty.  Every
sleeping pokemon in the building was woken up by the sound.  Nurse Joy ran out and
scolded Coolma as Misty tried to stop Togepy from crying.
"Are you crazy," shouted nurse Joy, "You just woke up all the young pokemon
during their nap and you are bothering everyone here."
"I've never seen Joy angry before." said Misty.
"Yea, that's one winner of a brother you got there." teased Ash.
"Pikaaa-pi-pi (What's the big idea?)" squeaked Pikachu in a grumpy tone.
"Hey, he's just my brother, he's not my fault." said Austin defensively.
"Isn't Joy beautiful when she's angry?" said Brock, in a trance over Joy.
 "We're loosing him." said Ash.
When Joy was finished with Coolma, she went in back to care for more pokemon.
She came back holding Killer Jr. as good as new.
 "Sann-sand-sandslash (Thanks, I thought I was a goner for a minute)"
"Welcome back ol' buddy!" said Austin as he hugged Killer Jr."
 "San-san-sand (Hey, no mushy stuff)"
"Okay, okay, I understand." said Austin.
"Hey, I'm beat, let's get some sleep now that everyone's okay." said Coolma.
"You should talk!" said Misty, "You woke up the whole neighborhood!"
The gang headed for bed, very tired after the 5 mile run from Route 15.
Austin, Ash, Misty, and Brock awoke the next morning at 7:00 a.m. to Coolma's
yelling.  He was decked out in a bathing suit and a pair of sandals.
"Guy's there's a beach just down the road, we gotta' go swimming!"
"Piiiiiiii-ka-pi-pi-ka-ka (Why can't I get any sleep, why!)" Pikachu groaned being
woken up for the second time.
"Killer Jr., you know the drill." moaned Austin.
At that, Killer Jr. jumped up and leered at Coolma in a grumpy, vicious, glare.
Coolma got the hint and ran to watch TV in the lobby.  Misty decided to get up anyway
and eat breakfast before Pikachu could get his hands on the ketchup.  Brock, Ash, and
Austin got 3 more hours of sleep time, but Pikachu could not get to sleep, so he decided
to have some fun.  He hopped down off the bed and motioned for Killer Jr. to follow.
"Sandslash-sand-san-ssss (I've got nothing better to do)" said Killer Jr. and
followed him.
Misty walked into the lobby ten minutes later to see Pikachu standing on the back
of Coolma's chair while holding one of Joy's flower pots over Coolma's head, ready to
drop it.  Killer Jr. was busy with another pot ready in case Pikachu missed.
"Hey, what's going on here?!" shouted Misty.
Pikachu, startled at the noise, jumped up and dropped the pot.  It fell, crashing
into Coolma's skull.  Coolma passed out and fell off the chair, disturbing the weight
balance that Pikachu depended on.  The chair tipped backward on top of Killer Jr. and
flung Pikachu into the arms of a startled Chansey.
 "Sann-sannnnnnd-slash-sand (You little idiot!)"
"Pika-chu-pi-pika-chu-chu-chu (You wanna' piece of me, common chump!)"
At that, chanseys all ran in to hold the two back.  Nurse Joy saw this happen and
kicked out the whole crew!
"Listen, you guys can't behave can you, you are no longer welcome here in this
pokecenter." yelled Joy angrily.
 "Pi-pika-chu-pika-pi (Smooth move Einstein!)"
"San-san-slash-san-slash (ME!? It was all your fault!)
The two pokemon jumped on their masters' heads and glared at each other all the
way to the beach.  When they got to the beach, a look of concern flashed across both
Pikachu and Killer Jr.'s faces.
"That's right, I forgot that neither Pikachu or Killer Jr. can go in water." said Ash.
"I didn't know pikachu were hurt by water." said Coolma puzzled.
"It's not Pikachu I'm worried about," said Ash, "It's the other swimmers, water
conducts electricity."
Then, they heard a familiar voice to which Brock became the dumb zombie they
had all gotten used to.
"Hi, I'm officer Jenny of the Fuchsia Police are you pokemon trainers?"
"Duh, uh-yea officer Jenny, uh, I must say, you look much prettier than all the
other Jennys."
"Brock, will you cut that out!" yelled Misty as she hit Brock over the head with
her bag.
Brock remained the love-struck zombie, so they all gave up.
"Yes, we're trainers," said Misty, "Don't mind Brock, he always gets this way-"
"But only near beautiful women such as yourself officer Jenny!" said Brock
cutting in, then Misty once again applied her bag to Brock's head.
"Listen, if you are pokemon trainers, there's a matter of a certain pokemon which
has been bothering some of our swimmers." said Jenny.  She pointed in the direction of a
large sand pile near the coast.  Then Jenny's beeper went off, she had to report back to the
station.
"Well, I have to go, there's some reports of thieves around here." said officer
Jenny as she hopped on her motorcycle and sped off.
"I don't see anything." Replied Brock puzzled.
Then, a loud snore escaped the lump of sand and shook the whole beach.
"Oh God, it can't be." moaned Austin.
"Sloth!  Good buddy, is that you?"  Coolma was about to wake him, when two
more familiar voices, but much less welcomed met their ears.
 "Prepare for trouble!"
 "Yes, and make it double!"
"Oh no, not you idiots again!"  Groaned Austin.
"Yea, I thought we finished you off good!"  Yelled Ash. "Well, you won't get
Pikachu, I won't allow it!"
"Don't flatter yourself twerp, we're here for that kid's sandslash" scowled James.
"Yea, he's ours, so hand him over!" sneered Jessie.
"And after we get him, we'll get Togepy back!" said Meowth, jumping in.
"Sann-slash-sandslash! (You want me, come and get me!)"
"Arbok go!" yelled Jessie, "Wrap those brats tight, don't let them call on their
pokemon!"
Arbok coiled around everyone, knocking the wind out of them and rendering
them helpless.
Then, James threw his pokeball.  "Go Weezing, poison that little punk!"
Weezing dove at Killer Jr., but Killer Jr. was too fast for him.  He dodged the
giant gas-ball and tried to free his friends.  He slashed at Arbok, and the snake cried out
in pain.  This loosened it's grip, but didn't set them free.
"San-sandslash-san-slash (Hey you stupid snake, let go!)" Killer Jr. roared.
 "Arrrrrrrrrrr-bok-ak (Make me squirt!)
Killer Jr. knew that digging would just hurt his friends so he only had one chance.
He had to wake the Snorlax.  Just then, Weezing tackled Killer Jr., sending him
sprawling across the sand.  Killer Jr., a little shaken, made a mad dash towards the
sleeping sand pile.
"Weezing-wee-zing (Oh, nuts!)" cried Weezing, now figuring out what was about
to happen.
Killer Jr. raced to the pile and tried to wake the sleeping pokemon.  "Sannnn-
slash-san-slash-sand (Hey, wake up fella, comon' please we need you.)"
The snorlax didn't budge.  Just then, he saw Brock waving something in a bottle.
"Hey -cough- take this awakening potion -cough-" yelled Brock, gasping for air.
Killer Jr. dodged another attack from Weezing and dove at the spray-bottle,
grabbing it just as Weezing accidentally crashed into Arbok.  Now free, the group gasped
for air after being crushed by Arbok.  Killer Jr. sprayed the foul-smelling potion on the
snorlax, waking it a little.  Sloth shook some of the sand off it's face, revealing it's sleepy
grin.  But unfortunately, fell back asleep.  Just then, Coolma leaped up and whistled an
ear-piercing screech which was followed by screaming of napping pokemon from the
pokecenter.  At this, Sloth bolted up and flexed it's muscles and stared angrily down at
Killer Jr.
At this, Killer Jr. pointed towards Team Rocket and meekly squeaked "San-slash
(It was them.)"
"SNORLAX-SNORE (ME ANGRY!)" grunted the huge pokemon.
 "Wha-how-who..." mumbled James.
"That's a big snorlax." mumbled Meowth quietly.
"I have a bad feeling about this." said Jessie.
Both Weezing and Arbok dropped what they were doing and jumped on their
masters.
"Get off me you fool!" shouted Jessie with Arbok coiled around her head.
Meanwhile, Meowth ran off down the road and towards the forest, scared out of
his mind.  James just lay there passed out and crushed under the weight of the bubble
pokemon.
 "Sloth, SIC-EM'!" commanded Coolma.
 "SNORRRR (With pleasure!)" grunted Sloth.
 Sloth grabbed Jessie and Arbok.
"It looks like Team Rocket's..." Jessie screamed.
Sloth grabbed up Wheezing and James.
"BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" screamed James as Sloth seismic-tossed them away
until they disappeared from site in a glimmer.
Meanwhile, Meowth was running for his life, when he was suddenly covered by a
shadow.  He looked up to see Jessie, James, Arbok, and Weezing falling out of the sky
and landing on top of him.  POW!
"Hey, that didn't hurt as much as I expected." said James sitting on top of the
pokemon-human pile.
Then, he heard a strange noise.
"SPEEEROWWWWW" a flock of spearow swooped out of a tree after the large
crash.  They didn't like being woken up any more than Pikachu!
Back at Fuchsia, Ash, Austin, Misty, and Brock are trying to figure out how they
can get to the Islands and how to get Ash's last two badges and maybe some new
pokemon.
"We all couldn't surf on Squirtle, or on any of Misty's pokemon, plus we have
Pikachu and Killer Jr. to worry about." complained Ash.
"It's okay," shouted Coolma, "I have something we all can ride on."
"Oh, do you have a lapras, I love lapras!" Misty exclaimed.
"No, it's a garados or a dragonaire isn't it?" asked Brock.
"No, no, it's a blastoise right?" asked Ash.
"Actually, Sloth knows how to surf." replied Coolma. "He really just floats, but
maybe your pokemon can pull him around."

 * And as we leave our heroes and Team Rocket, we can safely say that Sloth will
be a great ally, but for Team Rocket, well, they may need some more practice.
