' A night in the park'

A Pokemon/South Park crossover

"Hey you guys." Cartman said as he aproached the bus stop.

"Hey cartman." Stan replied. He was the onlyone there. Cartman looked around for a second.

"Where the hell is Kyle and Kenny?"

"They haven't shown yet."

"Ooooohhhh. I'll bet Kenny's dad tried to trade him in for some scotch again." The two laughed. cartman was suddenly knocked down by a rock."

"What the hell was that!?" the young boy said. he got up and saw Kenny holding a rock a few yards away. Kenny chucked the finger at Cartman. Kyle walked up to the other two and Kenny followed.

"Dudes! You have to see this cool cave me and Kenny found! There's these really weird balls inside." Kyle said.

"Yeah, sure. I'll bet the only odd balls you saw in the cave were Kenny's." Cartman got nailed by Kenny for his comment. "Damn it Kenny!" the fat kid shouted. The rest of the small group watched their two freinds fight, then shrugged it off.

"Okay, lets go check it out." Stan said. the group left the stop with a grumbling Cartman bringing up the rear. It wasn't a very long walk to the cave. It was very dark inside with these huge rocks jutting up from the ground. Stan and Cartman looked around in awe.

"Why the hell didn't we visit this cave befor?" Stan said.

"Don't know. Come on, the weird balls are this was." Kyle said, pointing toward the back of the cave.

"But Kenny is over their..." Cartman said. Kenny mumbled something and tackled Cartman. As those two brawled, Stan and Kyle walked on. They reached the end of the cave and saw four balls carfully arranged on a outcropping of rock. There was some writing on the walls behind it. Stan squinted and made it out.

"Property of Ash.... Ash.... Ketchup?" he looked closer and figured it out. "Ketchum! Property of Ash Ketchum...... who the $&@* is Ash Ketchum?" Kyle shrugged. They looked at the balls a moment. They were red on top with a black stripe going around the middle and a white bottom. A white button jutted out of each ball. Cartman and Kenny finally showed up. Cartman reached out and grabbed one of the balls.

"Cool." he inspected it and smiled. "This one's mine you guys!" he declared.

"Mmmp mp hmmp mp mhh hmmm?" Kenny said. stan and Kyle laughed.

"No! I'd never put it their!" Cartman screamed. Kenny chuckled and grabbed one of the balls for himself. Stan nabbed one too, and Kyle took the last one. Stan looked at his watch.

"Oh crap! We're going to miss the bus, let's move!" Stan said. They quickly ran to the stop and caught the bus. At resses, they took out their treasures and talked about what they might be for.

"I still say their from the future, you guys." Cartman reiterated.

"No way, dude. They're old, from the past." Kyle said. Kenny shouted out and everyone looked at him. Kenny pressed the little white button and the ball shrunk to one fifth it's size. He hit it again and it returned to normal.

"Cool!" Stan said.

"Kick ass!" Cartman said. He copied the procedure with his ball. Pip walked up when he noticed the commotion.

"What do you have there fellows?" he said.

"Back off! We don't need a British kid selling our secrets to the enemy!" Cartman said.

"What enemy?" Kyle, Stan, and Pip said.

"Hmm mmp mhhp hmmph." Kenny said.

"Oh." the others said.

"Can I see it?" Pip asked. Cartman smiled.

"Sure!" he beaned Pip with the ball and the British kid shouted in pain. The other four laughed, then stared as Cartman's ball opened and a red beam shot out. The beam became a small, four legged creature with a bulb on it's back. It was green with darker green triangular markings on it.

"Bulba." It said.

"HOLY CRAP!!!!" they all said. The creature looked at them and cocked it's head.

"Bulbasaur?"

"I... I.... I have a monster." Cartman said. Cartman began petting the creature and it licked his face. "Sweet!"

"That so kicks ass!" Stan said. "Lets see what I have." He threw the ball and it collided with Pip's head. Their was the same procedure as Cartmans ball, but this time there was a large critter with long claws and a heavly armored back.

"Sandslash!" it cried out.

"Ha! Mine's bigger, Cartman!" Stan said. He hugged his creature.

"First time you've been able to say that...." Cartman muttered.

"Me next!" Kyle said. The ball cracked Pip, finally rentering the Brit unconsious. The revealed creature was almost as tall as Stan with dark red skin, sharp claws and a flame at the tip of a well muscled tail.

"Charmeleon!" It said, releasing a burst of fire.

"Sweet! Mine breaths fire!" The three kids looked at Kenny.

"Well.... today Kenny!" Cartman said. Kenny looked at the fearsome forms of Sandslash and Charmeleon and shook all over. He sighed and hurled the ball against the wall. The ball shattered and the beam shot out. Kenny dove for cover under a bench. The released creature strolled to Kenny and nuzzled him. Kenny opened his eyes and saw a small yellow creatures with a lightning bolt tail and red cheeks. Kenny blinked. It blinked.

"Pikachu?" it said.

Kenny reached out and stroked Pikachu's head. It smiled and leaned into it. Kenny got up and held the creature. He stroked it's fur and smiled under his hood.

"Kenny, maybe you should give it to me." Cartman said.

"Mmmh?"

"Well... your so poor you can't aford a pet." Kenny shot a look at Cartman.

"hmmmph hm hmm mhp mhp!"

"Dude, sick!" Stan said.

"My mom would never do that!" Cartman said. he was ready to kick Kenny's ass in but Kyle stepped in.

"Lets go see Chef after school. Maybe he can tell us what these are." Kyle said.

"Good idea." Stan said. They managed to get through school by saying Pikachu and the others were stuffed animals. They carryed them back to class. After school they lugged their pets to Chefs house. Kyle rang the bell. A moment later Chef answered.

"Well hello, childeren, what can I do for you?" The large black man said.

"Chef... we where wondering if you can tell us what these are." Kyle said, indicating the creatures.

"They look like stuffed animals..." Chef said.

"Knock it off you guys." cartman said to the creatures. they all streched and yawned. Chef was shocked.

"By god! Quickly, in the house children!" The four boys rushed in with their pets not far behind.

"Children, tell me where found these." They told the story of finding the cave, taking the balls and releasing the creatures. Afterwords Kyle said:

"So we came here to see if you could tell us what thses are?"

"I know exactlly what they are." Chef said.

"You do?" Cartman asked.

"Yes. They're called pokemon." The four creatures perked up at the sound of the familiar name for their kind.

"Pokemon? What the hell does that mean?" stan asked.

"It's short for Pocket Monsters. Legend has it that thousands of years ago, there was a society more technologically advanced than we are now...."

"What's 'technilogiclly advanced' mean?" cartman asked.

"It means they had cooler gadgets than we do."

"Oooohhhh."

"Any way, this culture lived by capturing, training and using pokemon. Then something happened and the culture vanished. 1 pokemon of each type was left behind to guard the planet from whatever was attacking it. These guys were the origanal superhero's."

"Cool!" they all said. chef rubbed his chin a moment.

"Hold on guys, I'll be right back." Chef quickly left the room. Kenny wasn't paying much attention because he was playing with Pikachu. Chef returned with a large book. He set the book on the table.

"This book holds information and pictures of all the pokemon in alphabetical order. Let's see what it says about these fellas." he opened the book and strted thumbing through it.

"Where did you get the book, Chef?" cartman asked.

"A librarian gave it to me."

"Why?" Stan asked.

"It was payment. Ah ha! Found it! Cartman your Bulbasaur is a Plant/poision pokemon. It knows Vine Whip, Take Down, Solar Beam, and razor leaf."

"Kick ass!" Cartman said.

"Kyle your Charmeleon is a fire type pokemon. It's moves are Slash, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, and Rage." Chef said.

"Flamethrower?" Kyle said. Just then Charmeleon unleashed a huge burst of fire into the air. "Cool!"

"Stan. Your Sandlash is the strongest of the ground type pokemon. It knows Dig, Slash, Fissure, and Body Slam."

"Alright!"

"Kenny, I don't need the book for you. That is a Pikachu, an electric type pokemon. It should know Thundershock, Thunderbolt, Body Slam and Thunder. If that was actually the Pikachu of Ash Ketchum, it has more power than a power plant."

"MMMPPPH!" Kenny said. He hugged his pet.

"Pika!" it said and hugged Kenny back. The kids went outside and started home.

"My pokemon is the best you guys." Cartman gloated.

"No way! My Charmeleon would wreck it!" Kyle shouted.

"My Sandslash would rip both of yours apart!" Stan aded. They looked expectantly at Kenny. He was throwing a small stick and Pikachu would fetch it.

"This where you come in Kenny." Kyle said. Kenny waved him off. Cartman scowled.

"Hey! If you and your rat won't argue, maybe you should get it nutered! I hear it makes rodents nice and clam!" The three laughed. Kenny looked pissed.

"MKACHU, THMKDSHCK!" he shouted, pointing at cartman. Pikachu dashed forward.

"PIKACHUUUUU!!!!!!" it cried as it slammed Cartman with electricity.

"God damn it! That hurt Kenny!" Cartman screamed. He looked at Bulbasaur. "Well use that leaf thing Chef says you know!"

"Bulbasaur!" It unleashed a volley of razor edged leaves at Kenny, But he dodged.

"This is cool! Use that Fissure attack, Sandslash!" Stan order. The ground pokemon slammed it's fists into the ground and an enormos crack opened up. Kenny dove over the crack and lifted Pikachu, protecting the rodent.

"Charmeleon, flamethrower!" Kyle said. A long stream of flame nailed Kenny. he flopped around and managed to extinguish the flames,without falling down the hole the ground pokemon had made. The kids were all glaring at each other when a white portal opened near them. Two people stepped out.

"Prepare for trouble!" the girl said.

"And make it double!" the man said.

"To protect the worls from devastation,"

"To unit all peoples within our nation,"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love,"

"To extent our reach to the stars above,"

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Team rocket, blast off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!" the four children just blinked.

"Okay, this is seriouslly %@#$&! up right here." Stan said.

"Give us those pokemon!" Jessie said.

"No way you ugly bitch!" Cartman said.

"Oh yeah?" she whiped out a gun and shot at Kenny. He dove away from the bulletts but fell down the crack. He scraemed for the entire trip down, but stopped at the same moment that their was a sickening THUD!

"Oh my god! They killed Kenny!" Kyle said.

"You bastards!" stan finished. Suddenly a large bird grabbed Jessie and James and hucked them back into the portal. A kid with a blue and white jacket and a red cap walked out of the portal. The bird landed next to him.

"Good work, Pidgeotto." He said as he stroked the bird. he pulled out one of the weird balls. "Pidgeotto, return." The large animal was pulled inside.

"Whoa!" the others said. The new guy looked up. he smiled.

"Pikachu!" he cried out. The yellow rat ran into his arms and they hugged. Bubasaur and Charmeleon dashed over too. Sandslash just walked into the portal.

"Thanks for taking care of these guys for me. We'll be heading back now." with that he turned and entered the portal which closed after all the pokemon were gone.

"Who the hell was that?" Stan said.

"I don't know, dude." Kyle answered.

"That's it. Screw you guys, I'm going home. Invaders from an alternate reality is where I draw the line." Cartman said as he stormed off. The other two shrugged and headed home too. After all.... it was just another night in South Park to them.
