Lonely Heart

Ash watched the sun rise over the snow-capped mountians. "What a beautiful sight," he thought. But he knew no other beauty in the world could take the place of Misty’s. With a sigh Ash hurried back to his tent. The others would be waking up soon. He changed back into his pajamas and as the others woke up he pretented to have just woken up. He got out of his tent and watched as Misty walked by. He thought she was the most beautiful thing on earth. He gazed at her as if in a trance. Pikachu bounded up beside him.

Pika pik pi chu? KA CHU! (Ash? Ash! ASH!!) Pikachu thundershocked him.

"Ow! What Pikachu?"

"Pik pika chu pikachu kachu. (What are you staring at?)

"Nothing"

Pika pikachu ka pik chu (Then why are you gawking at Misty?) Ash was surprised. He could not keep anything from Pikachu.

"That’s silly"

Pika chu pikachu (I dunno…)

Ash sighed and went back to his tent to change into his other clothes. Then he acked up everything and went to catch up with the others, who had already continued ther journey.

"Hey wait!" Brock and Misty turned around.

"Sorry Ash. I thought you were with us." Brock said, embarassed that he forgot his friend.

"Well wait for me next time." Ash said angrily.

As they walked towards Palm Tree City Misty couldn't help but take glances at Ash.

"He sure is cute." She thought. She'd always wanted to tell him what she felt for him but could never muster up the courage to do so. There were many different possibilities: He might laugh, he might run off, there might be an emotional slap in the face or he might like her too. She had a 1:4 possibilty. She sighed to herself and kept walking.

After a long walk they reached Palm Tree City. They each went different ways. Misty went to go to the mall. Brock went to talk to the girls in town (Isn't it obvious? -.^) and Ash went to look for pokemon. (Another obvious statement! ;b).

At the Palm Tree City mall Misty had other things on her mind than shopping. Like Ash.

"I wish I could tell him I like him Togepi, but what if he doesn't like me?" She said to her pokemon Togepi.

To togepi toge tog pi! (I'm at a loss here)

"I mean it would be great if he liked me. I just don’t know if he does or not"

To toge togepi pi togpi (I dunno..)

Misty left the mall without buying anything.

Elsewhere Ash sat on a stump with Pikachu after not having any luck with pokemon. He didn’t feel up to it anyways. His mind was still on Misty.

"I don’t know what I should do Pikachu"

Pika pi pikachu (Thinking about Misty?)

"Yeah. I can't think of anything else but her."

Pika pikachu chu pik ka (I was right. You like her)

"Yeah...... I just denied it"

Pika pikachu ka chu (I knew you liked her anyways)

"You knew I liked her? I wish Misty felt the same about me"

Pika pikachu chu pik (If you only knew....)

"Huh? What was that again?"

Pika pikachu pika (Umm.… Uh............ Nothing)

"It sounded like you said ‘If you only knew’ "

Pikachu sweat dropped.

Pika pika chu pik chu ka (Me? Why would I say something like that?)

"I know that meant something"

Pika chu pikachu (She likes you Ash)

"You’re lying. She’d never like me." He didn’t know how wrong he was.

Pika pikachu pika ka chu (You’re wrong. She does like you.) A single tear inched down Ash’s cheek.

"She does?"

Pikachu (Yes.) But they didn’t see a pair of eyes watching them from the bushes.

Misty started sobbing.

"He does like me?" Togepi walked up to her.

Toge togepi pi (Yes, he does)

Misty hid behind a tree and started sobbing some more.

Ash heard sobbing.

"What was that?" He went to investigate the noise and he saw Misty hiding behind a tree, curled up in a ball.

"What is it Misty?" She tightened up.

"I-I-I heard it all." she said in a choked voice. Ash blushed and tears slid down his cheeks.

"You-you heard me and Pikachu talking?"

"Yes."

"Misty, I-I-" He cupped his hand under her chin and made her look at him.

"I love you." He said in a choked voice. Tears flowed from his eyes.

"I-I love you too." Msty said as more tears rolled down her face. Then Ash kissed her on the cheek. She blushed and kissed him, this one hitting him on the lips. Ash turned a bright shade of red and grinned.

"Man he’s cute when he does that." Misty thought. Then they embraced in a long kiss (Hey anyone have the She’s All That soundtrack? I could use some bg music for this scene! -.^) They stopped when they heard familiar voices.

"Look at the two lovebirds James."

"I see em"

"Well it’s time to capture that Pikachu!"

"Yeah! Let’s go!"

"Prepare for trouble!"

"And make it double!"

"To protect the world from devastation."

"To unite all peoples within our nation."

"To denounce the evils of truth and love"

"To extend our reach to the stars above"

"Jessie"

"James"

"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now or prepare to fight"

"Meowth! That’s right!" Team Rocket dropped a net over each of them. Ash, Misty and Pikachu.

"Jessie, we finally did it!"

"We finally captured that Pikachu!"

"The boss will be happy with this!" They started dancing around joyfully.

"Now’s our chance to escape." Ash whispered to Misty. She nodded as he crawled out from under the net. Then she crawled out under hers. Pikachu just scampered through one of the holes in the net (Team Rocket sure did screw this one up! ^-^)

"Go Pikachu!"

"Go Staryu!" Instead Psyduck came out. Misty fell over like in the anime. Team Rocket turned around, startled.

"How did those brats escape?"

"I don’t know. Let’s make the best of it though. Go Arbok!"

"Go Weezing!" The Arbok headed straight for Psyduck and looked at him. Meanwhile Pikachu Thundershocked the Weezing, which flew back to Team Rocket.

Psy ai ai? (What?) Psyduck was then being chased by Arbok until he smacked into a tree. He got back up and ran around quacking like a parade of Psyducks. Arbok repeatedly hit him on the hed with his tail, obviously enjoying doing so. Psyduck’s eyes began to glow. Then, as if by wires, Arbok was lifted up into the air and flew towards Team Rocket. Ash tossed a Voltorb at them.

"Here’s a little present.’ He yelled. It self-destructed as it landed in front of Team Rocket.

"Looks like Team Rocket’s blasting off again!" Jessie screamed as they flew throught the air.

"And don’t come back!" Ash yelled as he watched them disappear in the horizon.

"Yeah! Or else we’ll just do the same thing." Misty called after them.

"Misty, I’m glad you caught that Psyduck! It helped us a lot!" Ash replied. Misty grinned and Psyduck quacked happily.

Psy psyduck! (Finally a little credit around here!)

"That Voltorb came in handy too." Misty said.

"Thanks. Pikachu wasn’t so bad either!"

Pika pikachu! (Thanks!) Misty and Ash embraced for another long kiss.

Pika chu pika pika ka chu! (Ew! Will you two cut it out? It’s making me sick already!)

Toge togepi tog pi! (I know!)

Psy duck psyduck psy psy duck duck psy! (I’m gonna be ill. Will you two stop it?!) Brock happened to pass by at just that moment. He saw the two and grinned.

"Heh heh....... I knew! I just knew it! HEY YOU TWO! QUIT FOR A WHILE AND MEET MY DATE!" Misty and Ash jumped and punched Brock in the back of the head.

"Don’t you EVER sneak up on us again!" They yelled. Standing next to Brock, who was rubbing the back of his head, was a pretty young girl that looked like a young Officer Jenny with a different outfit.

"Hello." The girl said.

"Ash and Misty, meet my girlfriend, Anne!" Brock said, grinning.

"Hello Anne." Misty shook her hand.

"Hello Anne." Ash shook her hand also. Both Ash and Misty were shocked still that Brock had managed to get a date. Brock smiled.

"Let’s go to the mall Brock."

"Okay." Arm-in-arm they left for the mall.

"It’s been a normal day up to here." Ash said. Misty nodded.

"You’re right. I mean, Brock getting a date? That isn’t right. I wonder what happened........." Ash cut her off by kissing her again. He wrapped his arms around her and she did the same with him.

Pika pikachu (My god! Will you people stop?) Psyduck grabbed some popcorn.

Togepi toge togepi (Pass the popcorn)

Pika pikachu (Got any butter? I guess I’ll watch) The moon shone down on the two as they embraced.
