Dream Come True

Misty tossed and turned in her bed, mumbling in her sleep.

"Ash........... Ash! Murggg.....Ash!" She then kissed the pillow thinking they were Ash‘s lips.

"What soft lips." She mumbled quietly. Then she woke up.

"WHAT AM I DOING KISSING THE PILLOW?!" she thought. Then she remembered. Her dreams had been filled with visions of Ash Ketchum, a friend she had a secret crush on.

"If only I could muster up the courage to ask him out." she thought. Then she heard a stirring beside her. Her Togepi was wide-awake and staring at her.

"What?"

Toge togepi pi (I heard you talking in your sleep)

"You WHAT?!" she whispered back.

Toge togepi tog pi (So, you think his lips are soft?) Togepi said with an amused look on its face.

"Hey! That‘s not funny. I‘m in love here." Misty then went back to sleep.

The next day Ash opened his eyes and thought he saw Misty. Instead it turned out to be only the sun.

"Geez. I‘m seeing Misty everywhere." he thought. Then he rubbed his eyes.

"Pikachu time to wake up." The Pokémon slept soundly, snoring lightly.

"PIKACHU TIME TO WAKE UP!" Ash yelled in its ear. Pikachu yawned and looked at Ash.

Pika pikachu pi (What did you do that for? I was having a wonderful dream.)

"Sometimes you can be impossible." and with that said, Ash left the room.

Pika pikachu pik chu pi pika (Thank goodness he didn't ask what I was dreaming about.) Pikachu thought as he remembered his dream: Pokémon ruling the world.

Ash walked downstairs and saw Misty waiting at the steps. He choked.

"Uh... Hi Misty." he said nervously.

"Ummm......... Er... Hi.... Ash." she said, just as nervous.

"Wonder what she's so nervous about." he thought. He didn't know that Misty was thinking the same thing.

"If she only knew......" he thought.

"If he only knew......" she thought.

"Misty, do you have any shampoo in your room? They didn't remember to give me any in mine." Ash said.

"Oh sure. Here you go."

"Thanks. I'll be right down. I'm gonna take a shower." he said, hurrying up the stairs.

"Oh-okay." Misty said, trying her best to hide her nervousness.

After a few minutes Misty decided to head up and look in his room to see if Ash was done. She thought he would be just packing up his stuff, ready to head to Cinnabar Island. But when she looked throught the keyhole, she saw him coming out of the shower with only a towel wrapped around his waist. Misty blushed deep red then headed back to her room and gasped when she realized what she saw: Ash half-naked.

"Oh my god......" She whispered. She actually thought he was cute. And when she saw him with the towel wrapped around his waist she couldn't help but stare for a while.

"That was a good view, but I wish I hadn't seen it. One more secret to keep from Ash and Brock." she thought. Her heart was racing at the speed of light but she caught her breath. She saw Togepi, who had heard the whole thing and knew what had happened.

Tog togepi togepi. (Perfect timing, huh?)

"Oh shut up."

Toge togepi! (Hmph! You're mean!) Togepi stuck its tongue out at Misty.

"What?! You taunted me!"

Toge togep tog togepi (So what? Brat.)

Ash finished getting dressed and watched the TV in his room for a while. Every female in every program looked like Misty to him.

"Why can't I get her out of my head?" he muttered.

Pika pi? (What's that?)

"Um..... Nothing. I didn't day anything."

Pika chu pikachu (Yeah right. And I'm Professor Oak.)

"Honestly."

Pika chu (You said something)

"I guess I did."

Pik pikachu chu ka chu (You're thinking about Misty again. I can tell.)

"Yeah. Why can't I work up the nerve to ask her out?"

Pika chu (Beats me)

"What if she doesn't like me? It could ruin our friendship. She might hate me. She might be hurt. What if it ruins our friendship? Pikachu, I don't know what to do here!" Ash cried, collapsing onto his bed sobbing. Pikachu patted him on the back.

Pika pikachu pika chu (I'll leave you alone for a while. You need time to sort things out) With that Pikachu left, and Ash's shoulders heaved harder. As the tears streamed down his face he wished he knew how Misty felt about him. He had liked her from when he first met her.

"Like she would like me. I wrecked her bike," he thought. He decided that he needed to rest and cried himself to sleep.

Pikachu wandered around the inn. It thought about how Ash had cried of all the cofusion.

"Poor guy," it thought. "He really loves the girl." Then it heard small footfalls. Pikachu turned around.

Pika pikachu (Hi Togepi.)

Togepi (hello.)

Pika pikachu (Have I got news for you!)

Tog pi (Me too. What's yours?)

Pika chu pi chu pika (In case you didn't notice, my trainer loves your trainer)

Toge? (He does?)

Pika chu pi pika chu pikachu (Yep. He's all mixed up. He even cried hisself to sleep)

Toge pi (How sad)

Pika chu pi pikachu (I know. I wish there was something we could do to help.)

To pi togepi toge togepi (My trainer likes your trainer too in case you didn't know)

Pika chu (Really?)

To togepi toge pi (She even dreamed she was kissing him. Said his lips were soft. *snicker*)

Pi pika pika pik pika (Heh heh heh. How soft?)

To togepi togepi tog pi (Heh. She even looked through his keyhole when he got out of the shower and saw him half-naked.)

PIKACHU! (WOAH)

Togepi tog pi (Quiet. My trainer said she didn't want anyone to know, so don't tell your trainer. Or anyone else)

Pika (Right) Then the two parted ways to look around the inn some more.

Pika pikachu (Wonder if they have any kethchup.............)

Ash woke up some time later with tearstains on his face.

"Better wash these off," he thought to himself after looking into a mirror as he headed to the bathroom. As he washed off the tearstains he thought he saw a small balloon floating over the snow in Icicle City. It was shaped like Meowth.

"Not again." he muttered, heading out to tell the others.

"We'll catch that Pikachu this time!" Jessie exclaimed as they floated over Icicle City.

"Yeah. And with that Pikachu captured we can get back on the boss's good side!" Meowth said, grinning.

"I don't know. How many times have we said that before?" James stated.

"I haven't been keeping count." Jessie said.

"Well how many times has it worked?"

"None so far." Meowth replied.

"I prove my point."

"James, you're so negative. Lighten up!" Jessie said.

"Okay............"

"I don't see it." Misty said.

"Prepare for trouble!"

"Oh there it is." She replied.

"Make it double!"

"To protect the world from devastation."

"To unite all peoples within or nation."

"To denounce the evils of truth and love."

"To extend our reach to the stars above."

"Jessie."

"James."

"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"

"Meowth! That's right!" Ash sighed.

"You guys just don't know when to quit, do you?" he said.

"We never quit!" Jessie declared, producing a snowmaking machine.

"Turn on the snow machine!" Meowth shouted. Jessie flipped a switch and instantly the 3 kids were frozen in piles of snow along with Pikachu. Then they threw a net over Pikachu and hoisted it up onto the balloon. Ash was furious. No one, but NO ONE, was going to steal his Pokémon. Especially Team Rocket. He managed to free himself from his snow pile and rushed toward the balloon.

"Pikachu, Thundershock!" He shouted to Pikachu. It seemed to hear him and instantly Team Rocket was fried and Pikachu jumped out of the balloon as it exploded sending Team Rocket flying into the distance. Pikachu then landed on Ash's backpack.

"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Jessie screamed as they flew into the horizon.

"Those guys never seem to take a hint." Brock muttered.

"Tell me about it," Misty replied.

"They're the kind who keeps coming back to bug you." Ash said.

"That's for sure."

"Let's go. Cinnabar Island is a pretty long walk from here and we need to get there before sundown."

"Right." The three headed toward Cinnabar Island from Icicle City. After a short while they were at the Seafoam Islands.

"I heard this place has a legendary bird Pokémon in it." Brock said.

"Really?" Misty asked..

"Yep."

"A legendary bird Pokémon? Really I'm gonna catch it!" Ash exclaimed excitedly.

"Don't hold your breath," Brock muttered.

"Whatdo you mean? I'll catch that Pokémon!"

"And Gary's nice to you."

"So I don't ALWAYS catch the Pokémon I wanna catch but this time it's different! I'll catch that Pokémon!"

"Sure you will." Ash clobbered Brock on the back of the head and they continued walking. Halfway through the cave, they heard a noise.

"What was that?" Misty asked. Brock and Ash shrugged.

Gol golbat golbat GOLBAT!

"It sounded like a Golbat," Brock said.

"A Golbat?!" Ash said. Suddenly the sound grew louder and many dark shadows moved toward them, semming to surround them. Ash took out his Pokédex.

"Golbat: An evolved form of the Zubat. This Pokémon uses its powers to absorb energy from its opponents until it is too heavy to fly." It said.

"Absorb energy?!" Misty shrieked. Then she felt weaker as the Zubat absorbed energy from her.

"I CHOOSE YOU, BULBASAUR!" Ash shouted as his Pokémon came out.

Bulba bulbasaur bulbsaur! (ACK! I HAVE TO BATTLE THESE THINGS?!)

"Bulbasaur, Solar Beam!" Bulbasaur's bulb began to glow bright yellow and it let out a huge yellow beam. Bulbasaur fired and the Golbat were fried.

"Good job Bulbasaur!"

Bulba bulbasaur. (It was nothing)

"Thanks Ash," Misty said smiling. Ash smiled back.

"It was nothing. Besides anyone would have done the same."

"Mm-hmm." Ash blushed.

Pika pikachu? (Why are you blushing Ash?) Pikachu teased.

"Ha-ha. Very funny Pikachu."

"Know what? I think I'm never gonna understand Pikachu," Misty said.

"You'll learn."

"Hmm...... I guess......" Then they continued their journey through the caves. About a little while further they stopped and saw a large shape looming up ahead.

"W-W-What's that?" Misty stammered. The other two were just as scared.

"I don't know but I'm gonna catch it!" Ash said, getting a Pokéball and throwing it. Misty looked at the Pokédex Ash had lent to her.

"Articuno, the legendary ice Pokémon." It said

"This legendary Pokémon has been said to appear to people who are lost in icy mountains."

"Charizard I choose you!"

Char. (I was getting some sleep.)

"Charizard, please listen to me! Use Fire Spin!" A stream of fire shot out of Charizard's mouth and swirled around Articuno.

Ar articuno! (Ow! That burns!)

Char charizard (Never mess with fire or you might get burnt) Another stream of fire shot out of it's mouth.

Art articuno! (Ack! I give up! Capture me already)

"I think it's giving up Ash." Brock said.

"Yeah! Pokéball go!" The light on it remained red for a while as it shook but then stopped.

"Yeah! I caught it! I caught an Articuno!" Ash said excitedly. Brock fished some money out of his pocket.

"Okay, here's your five dollars Ash. I guess I was wrong."

"Well, you were almost right."

"Wow Ash! Charizard actually obeyed you!" Misty said, an impressed look on her face. Ash blushed.

"What was that for?"

"Nothing." Misty had an amused look.

"I'm just not used to getting many compliments. Especially from you."

"Well, sorry about that." Misty said, blushing as well.

"I'll leave you two alone." Brock said.

"Why?" Ash asked.

"Well, looks like you two are going to have a romantic moment." They both hit Brock.

"Yeah right!" They both said, looking a little hurt. They continued. A little farther down they came to a steep drop.

"Wow! That's pretty steep!" Ash said, looking down the dark chasm.

PIKA! (WHOA!)

"I wonder what's at the bottom of it?" Misty said, leaning a little closer to the edge. Suddenly they heard voices behind them.

"Prepare for trouble!"

"Make it double!"

"To protect the world from devastation."

"To unite all peoples within or nation."

"To denounce the evils of truth and love."

"To extend our reach to the stars above."

"Jessie."

"James."

"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"

"Meowth! That's right!"

"Team Rocket? Not you again!" Ash said.

"This time we'll get that Pikachu!" Jessie exclaimed.

"Where have I heard that before?" James muttered under his breath. Meowth scratched him.

"Shut up! We're catching it this time! Got it?" Meowth yelled. James was silent. Jessie pulled out a gun.

"Give us that Pikachu or you're gonna get it!" Jessie said.

"You're not going to get it this time either!" Ash yelled. Jessie put her finger on the trigger and moved toward them. Misty took a small step back. She was dangerously close to the edge of the pit. She looked behind her and saw a small rock fall off the edge and didnt hear anything for a long time. After 10 minutes she heard a small echoing splash.

"Alright. if you wanna do it the hard way." Jessie said, stepping forward again and smiling evilly. Misty scooted a tiny bit back.

Jessie raised the gun and Misty took a step back and lost her footing. DShe started to fall into the chasm. Ash turned around just in time to see her fall.

"MISTY!" he screamed.

"ASH HELP!" Ash grabbed her hand as she started to disappear from sight and pulled her up.

"Go Onix!" Brock yelled. Onix appeared.

"Onix, wrap!" Onix wrapped itself around Team Rocket.

"Now, tail whip!" Onix whipped it's tail back and released Team Rocket, who flew out of the cave.

"I told this wouldn't work!" James shouted.

"And now it looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Meowth yelled.

"Thank you Ash!" Misty said with tears in her eyes. She wrapped her arms around him and saw him blush. She was surprised. Ash had saved her life twice today.

"Ummm...... Thanks for saving me both times." Ash blushed deeper.

"Your welcome. I just had to do it anyway. I didn't want to lose a friend. And you're the best friend I've ever had. Non-Pokémon that is. Misty smiled and also blushed.

"And.....uh......I wanted to say............um........I love you!" Ash choked out. Misty blushed deeper, and tears ran down her cheeks as she hugged Ash.

"I love you too." she whispered, seeing Ash blush while his own tears flowed. Then Ash kissed Misty on the cheek. Misty blushed and kissed Ash, her kiss striking home. Brock watched, smiling.

"I knew it. I just knew it." He thought. Ash and Misty broke their kiss, both blushing deeper than before.

"HEY YOU TWO! NOW THAT YOU'VE FINALLY TOLD EACH OTHER YOU ARE IN LOVE, WE CAN LEAVE!" Brock yelled. Ash and Misty thought they couldn't blush any deeper but they proved themselves wrong as they felt their faces grow hotter. Misty glanced at Ash.

"Boy he's cute when he's blushing," she thought. Ash must've read her mind, because he had a small grin on his face.
